Homeowner asks Fayston to extend Waitsfield water line up Carroll Road; board notes limited interest

A Fayston homeowner identified as Dumas contacted the Selectboard to ask whether the Waitsfield water line could be extended farther up Carroll Road to reach his property. Dumas told the board he had learned that other neighbors on the road were unlikely to participate in shared costs, and he said they would likely deepen their existing well instead of pursuing the water-line extension.

Road Foreman Josh told the board he was not concerned about placing a buried water line in the right-of-way if it were installed deep enough, but the board did not pursue a formal plan or motion at the meeting.
