The Police Chief reported the Tinicum Township Police Department recorded 291 incident reports in March: 78 service calls, 76 criminal or investigative calls, 119 traffic incidents and 18 training or court reports. The chief told the board the department conducted 27 truck details last month and recorded three bridge strikes (one driver cited, one left the scene). The chief said the department had one reportable traffic accident in March and described an average of one reportable crash in March over the past five years.
The chief also noted community outreach events, including an "ice cream with a cop" that served 29 children via donations to the Tinicum Township Police Foundation, and confirmed the department's drug take-back event is scheduled for April 25 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Waring's. Supervisors had no other questions after the report.
