Price County clerk reports election preparations and WAVE vital-records rollout

The Clerk's Office reported that election preparations are on schedule for the April 7, 2026 election. Municipalities have been picking up ballots from the county office and absentee ballots are scheduled to be sent on March 17, in accordance with state statutes.
Clerk staff noted the media cards for the voting machines are pending shipment from the vendor and that the department will notify municipalities when cards are available for pick-up. The clerk also attended the 2026 WCCO Conference on March 3 and 4, and staff said the new WAVE vital-records system is scheduled to roll out in summer.
