EMC votes to begin review of WAC 118-11, will invite local and tribal partners

Sharon briefed the EMC that the council is statutorily tasked with an annual review of emergency management rules and asked for permission to proceed with review of WAC 118-11 (state individual assistance program). She said the CR-101 notice is expected in the Washington State Register on July 1 and proposed virtual and possible in-person workshops to gather local and tribal input.
Fred Brink moved to proceed with review of chapter 118-11; Mark seconded. Mayor Mary Cooper asked whether a vote was required; Sharon confirmed and the council voted in favor to begin rulemaking and outreach. Sharon said the tasking will include EMAG and invited EMC members to participate in the task force.
