Lisa Bonhoe introduced herself as president of the event organizer and asked the board to waive the special-event fee for the 87th annual Bronk Day festival scheduled for July 26. "We feel like we bring a lot of business in on that day, to support our local businesses," Bonhoe said and requested the board consider waiving the fee as it had in past years.
Town staff confirmed there will be food trucks (who must use mobile vendor licenses and report to the state), there will be no special-event liquor license or beer garden this year, and law-enforcement coverage will include two officers and cars from Woodland Park plus local reserves. A resident in the audience noted that law enforcement was volunteer last year and that the town collects sales-tax license numbers from vendors. Trustee (speaker 8) moved to approve the permit and waive the fee; the motion passed by voice vote.
