The clerk also explained timing: notices must be published and posted on the county website ahead of the public hearing and the court has until Aug. 19 to finalize and adopt the budget; the clerk asked that the court accept the present proposed numbers now so staff can input and file the proposed budget and then continue to refine numbers before the final adoption date.
