Commission renews DHR/Katz allowance, approves Sanford deputy renewal and out-of-state travel for investigators

The motion to renew the DHR/Katz contract passed on a voice vote.
The commission also approved renewal of a dual contract with the Town of Sanford to provide a deputy; the sheriff noted the arrangement has operated for several years and described that the deputy may leave the area for emergencies but the office aims to maintain coverage. Finally, commissioners approved out‑of‑state travel for two investigators to attend a child-advocacy conference in Texas; the district attorney covered most costs and the county would pay travel/per diem from discretionary funds.
