Committee advances technical amendments to library protection law after recent court rulings

He said the language was developed with the Attorney General's Office and stressed the changes "strengthen the defensibility of existing legislation and asked that the legislation be sent to print."
Senator Wintrow asked whether acting during active litigation violated procedural rules; Lakey replied the RS was clarifying law rather than attempting to influence private litigation. With no further questions, Senator Foreman moved to send RS 33841 to print and Senator Keyser seconded; the motion carried by voice vote.
