Council authorizes city manager to sign CDTFA and HDL agreements for tax implementation and revenue review
Summary
Benicia council authorized the city manager to execute agreements with the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration and consultant HDL to implement Measure F and to allow staff and consultants to review sales and use tax data for forecasting.
The council adopted resolutions authorizing the city manager to enter into an implementation agreement with the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration (CDTFA) and a consultant services agreement with HDL for tax forecasting and data review. Finance Director Schuette summarized that CDTFA handles the tax collection and that the HDL agreement will provide forecasting and budget support.
"That includes a series of agreements with CDTFA and an agreement with HDL to provide consulting services on the tax revenue, including forecasting of budget," Schuette said. The motions to adopt the resolutions were moved, seconded and passed by unanimous roll call vote.
