Box Elder 4‑H selected to present at national 4‑H Ignite in Washington, D.C.

Multiple Box Elder County 4‑H youth told the commission their program was selected as presenters for 4‑H Ignite in Washington, D.C. Kennedy Richards explained that Ignite is a national leadership event where youth present workshops to peers from across the country.

Josie Ormond described a workshop called 'I Wish I Had a Horse Camp' that teaches horse handling and careers to youth without prior experience, and Kelly Adams outlined a 'boots, brands and butts' workshop linking traditional ranching with modern technology such as virtual fencing. Commissioners praised the program, encouraged the students to represent the county at Utah State University connections, and offered 'Golden Spike' pins for the delegation. Kennedy Richards said, "Box Elder 4‑H was selected for 4 h Ignite, a national leadership event where youth from across the country come together to learn, lead, and share ideas in Washington, DC."
