The licensing official summarized the evidence and recommended corrective steps, saying, “I do believe that the Rangeley Area Chamber of Commerce did violate their special event permit responsibilities.” A council member moved to suspend the chamber’s special permits for one year (reinstated 04/01/2026); after a second and a voice vote, the motion carried. The licensing agent recommended measures to prevent future violations, including orientation of servers, systems for checking IDs, and prohibiting liquor from leaving venue premises.
