Selectboard agrees to submit CDBG-DR application and will seek public input before accepting funds

Following staff presentation and public comment, the Selectboard agreed to move forward with submitting the CDBG-DR application by the Sept. 30 deadline. The board did not record a formal roll-call vote in the minutes; rather, the minutes state the board agreed to proceed with the application.
Officials said that should the town receive an award, the Selectboard will return to the public with details and solicit community input before accepting funds and beginning project work. The board noted any project costs above the grant award would be the town’s responsibility and that the Weston Community Association would decide about the Mill Dam because it owns the structure.
