Annie Hansen of the County Attorney's Office asked the commission to renew administrative law judge (ALJ) services under Agreement 2607 so the county would have an available ALJ for personnel, discipline and land-use appeals.
"We have agreement 2607 before you today to renew the administrative law judge agreement with Richard Catton," Hansen said, explaining ALJ use for policy appeals, employee handbook issues and discipline appeals. Commissioner Perry moved to approve the contract; Commissioner Bingham seconded and the commission voted in favor.
The approval leaves the county with a standing ALJ option for future appeals and land-use hearings. No dollar amount for the contract was specified in the presentation.
