The council approved a not-to-exceed $40,000 contract with Wade Trim to provide grant-scout services for the city. Wade Trim described the work as a contractual service to identify funding opportunities and assist with applications for parks, water, sewer, public safety and other projects.
A Wade Trim representative told the council the firm will help the city find and apply for funding opportunities and will report successes and failures back to the group. “We don’t expect to land $10,000,000 tomorrow morning, but through the course of this relationship, hopefully find that Taylor obtains funding that we may otherwise not have received,” the representative said. The council approved the contract on a voice vote and staff said the service will be evaluated for efficacy during the contract term.
