The Selectboard approved a motion to order and install two one-way signs on the south end of Park Street after Shawna Batogowski reported VTrans contact Megan Brunk had identified incorrect signage. Linda Saarnijoki moved to order and install the signs; Katie Fitzpatrick seconded the motion and the board voted unanimously to approve it.
The minutes record that VTrans will install signage on the north end of Park Street at the junction with Route 100. The board also asked staff to check whether a planter or fountain at the end of Park Street falls under the jurisdiction of a local group (the Ladies of the Green) and asked for a report back at the next meeting.
Why this matters: correct signage clarifies traffic flow and reduces safety risks on a one-way street; coordination with VTrans ensures state-managed signage at the Route 100 junction is completed.
