The Canton Township Board of Trustees authorized the supervisor to sign an intergovernmental agreement with Wayne County to allocate $190,795 toward Cherry Hill Village Town Square Park enhancements for fiscal year 2025–26.
"Wayne County has agreed to allocate funding for the Cherry Hill Village Town Square Park enhancements through the Wayne County Parks Village for a total of $190,795," staff read into the record. Director Lefevre described the allocation as part of the county Parks Millage program that returns up to 15% to local communities and said the funds will help finish the project.
The board made and supported the motion and approved it by voice vote. Staff said a budget amendment will be necessary to incorporate the county allocation and finish outstanding items on the project.
