City planning staff presented rezoning application 24-0399 for 67 West Little Back River Road and the council voted to approve the application with the seven proffered conditions.
Planning and Zoning Division Manager Mike Case said the request would rezone the lot from R-9 to R-4 to enable subdivision into two single-family detached lots, each approximately 50 feet wide, and that staff found the proposal consistent with the Hampton Community Plan and the North King Street master plan. "The request is to rezone zone to r4 to create 2 1 family detached dwelling lots," Case said during the presentation.
Case noted proffers designed to integrate the new homes with neighborhood character, including pushing garages to the rear so they do not dominate the narrow frontage and following the Hampton pattern book for design. No members of the public signed up to speak during the public hearing.
Councilman Brown moved approval with the seven proffers; the motion was seconded and carried on a recorded unanimous vote.
The ordinance adopting rezoning application 24-0399 will be processed consistent with existing city procedures and the proffers described by staff.
