The council voted to receive and file the commission’s feedback; the motion was made by Councilwoman Witten and supported by Councilman Johnson. No further disciplinary action or policy changes were adopted during the meeting, though the mayor encouraged staff and the commission to document lessons learned for future cases.
The report will remain on file and the council indicated it may ask the commission to return with any recommended refinements to process or documentation.
