Resident urges action after decade-long parking problems that impede driveway access

During public comment, resident Isaac Bond described persistent parking behavior by a neighbor who positions a vehicle into Bond's driveway, saying the problem has persisted for about 10 years and that earlier calls to police and public-works staff yielded no permanent remedy.
"We have a neighbor that poxed, which is the front end of his vehicle in my driveway," Bond said, adding that the placement prevents him from making left turns and that prior interactions with staff left the problem unresolved. Mayor Tuck cut off Bond's public-comment time after three minutes but acknowledged his request for follow-up.
City Manager Bonnie responded after public comment, offering to meet Bond after the meeting and to help connect him with appropriate police contacts. Bonnie said police guidance is correct that anyone can park on a public street, but officers can ticket when a vehicle blocks a driveway. "If they're blocking your driveway, then the police should be able to ticket them for blocking your driveway," the manager said, and offered to help Bond identify the right point of contact for enforcement.
