The council authorized the mayor to sign a purchase agreement for multiple city parcels for $10,000 plus closing costs, with sale proceeds to go to the general fund. Staff described the parcels as vacant lots in the northwest corner near Princess and Avalon and said the buyer intends to build at least three homes on the site.
Explaining the proposal, staff said: “They’re looking to put, at least, I think, 3 houses on these lots... so it'll be nice to get these on the tax rolls and our guys will not have to cut them anymore.” The motion carried by voice vote after council discussion limited to description of the site and intended use.
