Staff updated the commission that VDOT's Transportation and Mobility Planning Division is leading an ongoing bridge study and that a work plan has been developed and approved. Staff said the group continues to meet on the study's development and that a study report is expected no later than the first day of the 2027 General Assembly session.
"A work plan has been developed and approved, and this group continues to meet on development and presentation of study report no later than the 1st day of 20 20 seven's general assembly session," the staff member reported. The meeting did not include further detail about scope, funding or specific bridge locations beyond the statement that the study remains in progress.
