Residents urge transparency on litigation costs, planning reports and budget approvals

Several residents used the public-comment period to press the council on transparency and process. Other speakers announced community events: Steve Wellin publicized a Nov. 23 fundraiser for McKay’s and advised contacting the Columbia Basin Foundation; Genevieve Gray announced a Senior Center planning meeting scheduled for Nov. 18 at 5 p.m. Thomas Page reminded councilmembers that when they speak to the newspaper they speak for Soap Lake residents.
