Williamstown Cemetery Commission elects officers for coming year
Summary
At its April 10 meeting the Williamstown Cemetery Commission approved a slate of officers: Matt Couillard as chair, Matt Walker as vice chair and Susan Lyons as secretary; commissioners also approved the Nov. 21, 2024 minutes.
Daphne Herwig nominated Matt Couillard for chair at the commission’s April 10 meeting; the nomination was seconded by Matt Walker and approved by the commission. "I will nominate Matt Couillard for Chair," Herwig said during the meeting.
Susan Lyons nominated Matt Walker for vice chair, seconded by Herwig; Herwig nominated Lyons for secretary, seconded by Walker, and both nominations were approved. Later in the meeting, Herwig moved to accept the Nov. 21, 2024 minutes as written; the motion was seconded by Walker and approved.
The officers will serve until the next annual organization unless the commission votes otherwise. The commission recorded attendance and set its next meeting for May 22, 2025.
