Clerk and mayor praise volunteers for curb-island decorations; parade set for Dec. 13

Mayor Dwayne Paris reiterated thanks to those who decorated curb islands and reported the new welcome sign is nearly finished and awaiting a clear coat to protect it from damage. He also said a staff member named Bob is working with the Washington State Department of Transportation to repair flashing signs and that staff are handling a variance for a proposed home placement at the corner of 1st and Washington to address safety clearance.
