Council conducted first readings of two ordinance amendments: 2025-903, which amends Ordinance 2023-887 concerning habitual offenders in animal complaints (Chapter 6.24, Section 6.24.015), and 2025-904, which amends Ordinance 1968-172 concerning weapons (Chapter 9.08, Sections 9.08.010 and 9.08.020).
Councilmember Craig Stein moved to approve the first reading of Ordinance 2025-903; Councilmember Lori Loseth seconded and the motion passed 3–0. The council also approved the first reading of Ordinance 2025-904 on a motion by Councilmember David Weakland, seconded by Councilmember Stein; that motion also passed 3–0.
