The auditor presented routine administrative items and asked the board to approve minutes, authorize publication and issue warrants for the claims listing in the amount of $619,733.03. The auditor highlighted large items in the listing including roughly $302,000 in revolving loan fund payments, $90,000 for rock, and a $60,000 deposit associated with the Hurstville Interpretive Center roof project.
The board approved the May 12 minutes and authorized publication of the official notices. The board then approved issuance of warrants and publication for the claims listing totaling $619,733.03. The auditor also brought forward several routine license and permit requests: a Class E retail alcohol license for S and K Gas and Food LLC (effective 04/15/2026โ04/14/2027) and a fireworks permit for Leisurely Property Owners Association (06/27/2026 at dusk, rain date 09/05/2026); both were approved by voice vote. The board also approved a resolution certifying delinquent sewer assessments to the county treasurer for tax collection.
The auditor explained that a contractor awarded the Hurstville roof contract is requesting a $60,000 check before ordering shingles, and because that payment will require adjusting fund allocations, staff asked the board to set a public hearing to consider a FY26 budget amendment. The board scheduled that hearing for June 9 at 9:00 a.m.
