County authorizes engineering proposal for industrial park water upgrades (estimated $551,125)

Supervisors approved staff's request to authorize the county administrator to negotiate and sign a Bowman proposal for engineering and construction administration services to upgrade the industrial park water system. Staff said the industrial park is at capacity and system upgrades are necessary to attract additional users.
Mr. Wade told the board the engineering and construction-administration estimate is $551,125 and that the same congressional/EPA-administered grant funds supporting the high-school well project would be used. "The industrial park is at capacity at this time," Wade said, describing the need to expand service to additional users. Supervisors clarified this amount covered engineering oversight and inspection rather than final construction costs, which will be bid and returned to the board.
Supervisor Drew moved to approve; the motion carried unanimously.
