The contract's Scope of Services names specific state agencies MRH will coordinate with, including the Illinois Department of Transportation, the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity, and the Illinois Capital Development Board. The agreement states, "MRH will invoice Client monthly at a rate of $6,000 per month." The board approved the contract on a recorded roll call showing unanimous support for the motion to enter the agreement.
The contract requires MRH to provide monthly status reports, to maintain liaison with the county's authorized representative and to seek prior written approval for any extraordinary reimbursable expenses. The county will reimburse reasonable travel expenses outside a 50-mile radius when pre-approved. The contract also includes a 60-day termination clause for either party.
Supporters said the firm will leverage state contacts and pursue grant opportunities to spur county development; no member raised a recorded objection during the vote.
