The finance committee awarded a construction contract to RWC Enterprises for the 2026 sewer and drain improvement project in an amount not to exceed $749,395 and approved professional‑services amendments to IMEG for engineering support ($388,000) and for construction engineering services on the 2025 CIPP mainlining project ($118,935.50).
City Engineer Dan Hudson said the construction award stems from competitive bids and that RWC Enterprises was the low bidder; IMEG will provide engineering oversight and construction inspection to ensure the city receives contracted work as specified. "We require outside engineering support to help manage [construction contracts] ... full time in the field construction oversight to make sure that the city's getting what it's paying for," Hudson said. The committee approved the motions by voice vote.
