Committee approves biosolids amendment and one‑year cleaning contract as interim while city builds custodial capacity

The committee approved Amendment #2 with Resource Management Inc. for final FY26 biosolids management costs not to exceed $60,000, and a one‑year contract with Bill's World Class Cleaning for cleaning DPW facilities and other city buildings not to exceed $90,000.
Wastewater Superintendent David Boucher said Amendment #2 covers the final loads of biosolids to be managed for FY26. Director Tim Cummings explained the cleaning contract covers general custodial services (bathrooms, cafeterias, floors, trash removal) and that the one‑year length reflects an intention to build in‑house custodial capacity in FY27. "There is an intention and desire to actually bring it in house ... that's something we will be working on in earnest in FY27," Cummings said. The committee approved both items by voice vote.
