At the April 6 meeting Montoursville Borough Council approved several transportation and engineering items, including Resolution No. 2026‑02 (a PennDOT Agility Agreement), a $6,965 traffic signal maintenance agreement with Lecce Electric, and authorization for Grove Miller Engineering to act as the borough traffic engineer.
Borough Manager Donna M. Taggart explained the traffic signal maintenance contract reflected a $300 increase from the prior year. Streets and Water Coordinator Mr. Hoffman said the PennDOT Agility Agreement will allow PennDOT to use the borough vac truck for ditch cleaning, and he noted the borough would bear responsibility if the vac truck were damaged. Council also authorized Pysher Engineering to prepare and advertise bid documents for the 2026 Alley Project and the 2026 CDBG curb ramp project.
