South Ogden council reapproves Rocky Mountain Power franchise after filing window lapsed

South Ogden Mayor Porter and the council voted July 15 to reapprove an amended franchise agreement with Rocky Mountain Power after a required filing window with the city recorder was missed.
Mr. Nagro, the company representative who appeared before the council, described the matter as procedural. "This is really a formality," he said, explaining the agreement had not been filed within the 60-day window and so needed council reapproval. City staff confirmed there were no substantive changes to the agreement since it last appeared before the council.
Councilmembers held no further discussion before taking a roll-call vote; the ordinance passed on a unanimous vote of members present. The council recorded the reapproval to allow the franchise to be executed and filed as required by city procedure.
