Airport management presented May and June operational reports showing improving passenger performance and infrastructure needs.
Don said Envoy (American) recorded a 76% load factor in June while SkyWest (operating United service) was at 68%. He noted a new daily Envoy Phoenix flight that began June 5 is performing well enough to be a valuable westbound connection. "To be at 68% load factor in June is not bad," Don said.
Board members questioned reported year‑to‑date enplanement math; Don acknowledged a reporting correction will be made for the next meeting. Don also described July 4 weekend parking overflow where staff used a remote lot and shuttles and said staff plans a task order to design a dedicated employee lot that could remove 90–100 vehicles from the terminal lot and ease event congestion, with completion aimed well before Thanksgiving.
The packet showed parking revenue was up 33.4% year‑to‑date for June, and staff noted local airfare levels remain high due to fuel and demand pressures, which affects airline pricing decisions.
