Chris Gibson, assistant director of Parks and Recreation, said the water-walking program at Adventure Cove has expanded to several hundred participants and staff added a Friday session because demand exceeded capacity. "We've got a lot of participants... We've even had to start another day, so we added Friday to the list as well," Gibson said, and provided the schedule and admission details.
Gibson said the program runs through Aug. 12 and noted a senior admission price: "It's 9AM to 10:30AM on Monday, Wednesday, and Bridal. $2 admissions for ages 55 and up." A board member later said the program averages about 150 to 175 participants per day, and the board discussed keeping fees low while balancing maintenance and long-term funding.
