Council members discussed a delinquent Tourism Business Improvement District (TBID) payment owed by the Candlewood Inn, totaling three quarters for $12,094.62. Alderwoman Rasmussen moved to direct Kalil Law Firm to draft a delinquency letter; Alderwoman Larson seconded and the motion carried.
Alderwoman Buxbaum asked whether the balance could be resolved by an alternate payment arrangement such as a direct deposit account. Clerk/Treasurer Jessica Chamberlin said she would look into alternative payment methods and noted that, if those options were not available, the unpaid TBID balance could potentially be posted to the property taxes for the business.
