Mayor Gutierrez read the ordinance description into the record: "...annex and territory generally described as being 24.27 acres of land out of the Stephen F. Austin survey abstract number 10 and 9.68 acres of land at the Carrabba Industrial Park Subdivision...and 0.72 acres of county right of way...being a total of 38.3 acres of land in the ETJ, Bryan, Brazos County, Texas." The council accepted previous testimony offered during the reinvestment-zone hearing and opened the floor for public comment; no one spoke.
Council member (speaker 3) moved to approve the annexation ordinance and Madison Sanfilippo (speaker 5) seconded; the mayor called the vote and the motion carried. Staff said the annexation provides a service plan and allows city provision of utilities as described in the ordinance reading.
