The South Ogden City Council approved Resolution 25-25 on Aug. 19, adopting the city’s FY2026 budget, which includes a $19,949,000 general fund total and a certified property tax rate of 0.002578. Staff asked the council to correct a transfer in account 513875 from $10,000 to $8,500 so the budgeted transfer matches the storm drain fund, and the council approved that change before voting.
"General fund total budget of $19,949,000," said Andrew during the presentation, and he noted that the certified tax rate in the budget is 0.002578. A council member asked to place three previously budgeted donations on the record — $3,600 to Bonneville Communities That Care, $1,000 for the Bonneville High graduation and an $8,158 rollover to the YCC for a one-time payment — to ensure transparency; the councilor said the donations were included in the budget but wanted them explicitly noted. The resolution passed on a roll-call vote.
