The specially called meeting began at 5:30 p.m. at city hall; the board entered executive session at 5:31 p.m. to consider a police department personnel matter and returned to open session at 5:35 p.m.
According to the minutes, Alderman Brian Grantham moved in executive session, and Alderman John Banks seconded, a motion "to accept the resignation of Officer Canyon Bilbro effective immediately." The motion was carried with Aldermen John Banks, Brian Grantham, Mason Herrin, Kyle Martin and Brent Sistrunk recorded as voting Aye. The board then moved to adjourn at 5:35 p.m. City Clerk Linda Wigley attested the minutes.
