Committee members resumed a discussion about impact fees and a South Bay-related water-tank project. "We as well, today received the wetlands permit approval on that," the town manager (speaker 2) said, referring to the tank site. He added that construction of the tank itself is estimated to begin in mid‑2027, with substantial completion 16–18 months after that, and that the tank contract alone was roughly $1.2 million in a prior estimate; the larger cost driver is road and infrastructure to reach the site.
The manager said private partners (South Bay) are contributing funds (about $1.5M) and the town has programmed an additional shortfall of roughly $2.5M for the full project. Members asked for follow-up on exact impact-fee balances and how those funds are being applied; the manager said staff will produce additional detail as the project and RFBO work progress.
The committee did not take a vote; the item was discussed for information and to request further financial detail.
