Chair urges broader outreach; members focus on eAssist and recycling events

Staff said the sanitation department sponsors the events and can provide printing support and some promotional items; members volunteered to help at the April 25 recycling drive (9 a.m.–12 p.m., Dallas College Walnut parking lot).
Members also stressed educating residents about eAssist, the city's customer-service tool. "Most people don't know about eAssist," the chair said. Staff agreed to try to schedule a presentation about eAssist at the next meeting and to provide materials for members to distribute.
Why it matters: improving outreach could broaden resident participation in city programs and help residents report issues (code compliance, sidewalk/trash problems) more effectively.
