The Dublin City Council formally organized on Jan. 5, electing Chris Ambrose Grooms as mayor for a two-year term and selecting Kathy DeRosa as vice mayor for a two-year term. Council members moved, seconded and approved both leadership slate items on roll call; oaths of office were administered following the votes.
Mayor Chris Ambrose Grooms presided over the meeting and invited families to join the newly sworn members for the oath ceremonies. Council also approved the consent agenda and read into the record committee and liaison assignments before adopting them on roll call. The meeting opened with a short executive session to discuss personnel matters relating to the appointment of a public official and then reconvened for organizational business.
