Commissioners say 16 of 20 FEMA DR‑4781 projects obligated; $1M+ expected

County officials told the Coryell County Commissioners Court that 20 projects were identified under FEMA disaster declaration DR‑4781, many comprising multiple sites rather than 20 discrete single-site projects.
The County Judge said 16 of those projects have been obligated by FEMA and are moving to closeout with the county's disbursement agency (TDM). Two projects remain in project development and require engineering, notably a low‑water crossing at Straws Mill Road and a bridge at county road 321 with long‑term erosion concerns; two additional projects were under FEMA review and pending award. "We're we're currently looking at, just over 1000000 dollars, that we will have been awarded, under those 16 projects," the judge said.
The court asked staff to seek pricing for the two development projects and to forward closeout documents to TDM so disbursements can proceed. No formal vote was required. The court also confirmed that category A (emergency response) and category B (debris/vegetation removal) reimbursements have been completed, while category C (roadway and infrastructure repairs) remains in development.
