Coryell County plans IT transition to Goldsmith with January go-live

The Coryell County Commissioners Court on a regular-session morning reviewed a planned transition of county IT services to vendor Goldsmith.

The presiding County Judge said Goldsmith has contacted most departments and will finish two remaining one-on-one meetings before a phased transition. Tax-office services will move after the March 3 primary to avoid election disruption. "It looks like the 3rd week of January would be a go live date," the County Judge said, adding Goldsmith plans to station multiple representatives on-site to respond to any issues during the initial transition.

The judge also said Goldsmith has already completed quick fixes to courthouse panic buttons and is reviewing internet connections to identify possible billing redundancies, work the county auditor's office helped document. "I think we're gonna find some cost savings there in a few places as well," the judge said.
