The Florence board approved several equipment purchases and an insurance payment in the March 3 meeting. Water/Sewer Operator Billy Russell recommended acquisition of a hydraulic plate compactor; the board approved Puckett Rental's quote of $6,834.24 as the lowest of two bids. Park Director Mark Hester recommended and the board approved payment of $6,350.92 to K & K Insurance for the 2026 sports liability policy and approved Robby's Small Engines' state‑contract quote of $14,899.99 for a Demo Scag Turf Tiger 61VW (40 HP) mower, serial number Z3001862.
Also at Billy Russell's recommendation the board approved an additional cost of $1,510.00 for invoice #MS00416159 payable to Consolidated Pipe & Supply Co. All motions on these procurement and payment items were recorded as carried unanimously.
