The Inland Wetlands Commission approved the minutes from its Oct. 7, 2025 regular meeting after a motion by Commissioner Thomas Kassan and a second from Commissioner Gary Gianini; the record shows the motion passed 6–0 with Chair Michael Feldman abstaining.
Commissioner Daniel Carvalho moved to cancel the regularly scheduled Jan. 6, 2026 meeting and reschedule a special meeting for Jan. 20, 2026, because new IWC appointments would not be confirmed until the Town Council meeting on Jan. 8, 2026. Commissioner Carol Hauss seconded; the motion passed unanimously. Later in the evening Commissioner Robert Breckinridge moved to adjourn, seconded by Daniel Carvalho, and the meeting adjourned at 8:18 p.m. Clerk Janet Stokesbury is recorded as signing the minutes for the Town of Avon Department of Planning and Community Development.
The commission’s rescheduling reflects the need to align the IWC calendar with the Town Council’s appointment schedule; no substantive policy changes were enacted under these agenda items.
