Firewheel management reports policy and inventory reforms after audit; membership program to end Oct. 1

Firewheel management updated the committee on progress since a prior audit, reporting seven formal policies adopted, the creation of new monthly and quarterly reports, and improved inventory controls. Management said the pro shops now have 111 SKUs tracked, monthly cycle counts, and documentation of variances. "We now have a 111 SKUs. ... So we have all of our products in our shop," the presenter said.

The presentation described operational changes: a plan to process credit-card tips through payroll beginning in April, stricter change-fund security (keys locked in a safe), monthly tracking of employee food-service and TABC certifications, and an end to the informal membership program — "Effective October 1, it's over," the presenter said — to reduce accounting complexity. Management described steps to track complimentary rounds and discounts in the point-of-sale system, to improve tournament documentation, and to assign monthly senior-leadership review of new reports. Audit director Jed Wilk and committee members praised staff responsiveness and recommended continued management oversight to ensure sustained compliance.
