"Our goal here is, giving people the space to age in place," Moreland said, and staff cited AMI ranges (approximately 30–80%, depending on household size) and limited ADU permit counts in recent years as context for the request.
The board discussed staff capacity to monitor eligibility and enforcement; Moreland told commissioners the county has programs and cross-referencing mechanisms to validate applicants' income and program eligibility. After discussion, a motion to support the legislative request passed by voice vote.
