Marshall County board approves higher employee health premiums for FY2027

The Marshall County Board of Supervisors on May 6 approved new monthly rates for employee health, dental and vision coverage for fiscal year 2027, voting 3-0 to adopt the schedule.
Under the approved plan, monthly health and prescription drug premiums are: Single $1,142.42; Employee plus one $1,831.42; Family $2,444.68. Dental rates remain Single $42.30; Employee plus one $84.60; Family $96.46. Vision rates remain Single $8.66; Employee plus one $16.50; Family $23.10. Auditor/Recorder Nan Benson said the dental and vision plans saw no change and that “the health plan rate increased roughly 13–14%, meaning that the employee portion will increase 10%.”
Member Christian Goodman moved approval; Vice Chair Carol Hibbs seconded and the motion carried 3-0. The board did not adopt changes to plan design in the public record of this meeting; the vote set only the monthly premium rates for FY2027.
