The minutes record that a private mechanic diagnosed and temporarily repaired the loader the same day to avoid extended downtime; a replacement wire harness arrived and was installed 12 days later.
Klose also said two of three fuel filters ordered for the loader were not the correct model and two hydraulic lines operating the bucket ruptured; local contractors rebuilt lines to get the machine working despite the items being under warranty. In addition, staff observed tracks showing someone tore down a section of the windblown litter catch fence; the tracks led to and from a nearby recreational trail and suggested use of UTV/ATV/snowmobile machines. Committee members noted the downtime on a new machine is concerning for ongoing operations.
