Commission removes discretionary traffic-study language from PD agreements

During review of the zoning text amendment, a commissioner pointed out potentially duplicative language in the planned-development (PD) agreement section that stated a traffic study "may be required" even though a Transportation Impact Analysis (TIA) was required elsewhere in the document.
The commissioner moved to strike the clause; the motion was seconded and carried on a voice vote. Staff had earlier acknowledged the wording could be misleading and recommended removing the redundant phrase. After the amendment carried, commissioners returned to the main motion to adopt the ordinance as amended and the main motion carried by voice vote.
